Shipping policy

Hot Weather

We will delay sending your order when the weather is very hot, to minimise risk of melting. Please keep this in mind if you are ordering it for a specific date, as it could mean it takes the dispatch time to over 10 working days so we would always recommend choosing the ice pack option depending on the weather.

Dispatch time

We aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible but please allow up to 10 working days for dispatch only (excluding weekends and bank holidays). We hand make everything here at The Chocolate Company and want to make sure you receive quality chocolate.

We send everything 24hr Tracked Delivery with Royal Mail - UK only or 1st Class Royal Mail

With 24hr tracked delivery we are able to see exactly where your order is and you are able to see when it's going to be delivered. At the moment Royal Mail are stretched, but most of our parcels are arriving within the stated time. Please allow an extra couple of working days though, just in case. 

Temperature control

Whilst the weather is hot we may take the decision to delay sending your parcel but we will always keep you informed. 

During hot weather we also label your order with instructions to keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources so that the risk of melting is minimised further when being transported to you.

Your order is also kept chilled until collection.

Preorder items

Shipping times apply to all products that do not state 'preorder'. If a product you have ordered is a preorder item, please refer to the individual product page or your confirmation email for turnaround times. Nothing else in your order will be posted until your preorder item is ready to go.
